According to his star sign superstar Rajinikanth celebrated his 69th birthday in advance on December 2 at his Chennai residence. The actor held a puja which was performed by his wife Latha along with him. Pictures of this puja ceremony went viral on his fan pages, which proved nothing less than a treat for his fans. While December 12, will be a huge phenomenon down South, with the superstar Rajinikanth ringing in his 69th birthday, this year though he celebrated his birthday in advance on December 2. The South superstar on Monday celebrated his birthday in a traditional way in presence of his family. A puja was conducted at his residence in Chennai, the Poorthi puja was performed by the priest and pictures of the same, quickly made it to the internet. This birthday celebration was hosted according to the actor’s star sign and Hindu calendar.
The Petta actor was seen sporting a white shirt with mundu, whereas his wife Latha wore a bright golden yellow saree. Pictures of the two performing the puja were shared on his fan pages on Twitter. In the upcoming days, the actor will be seen entertaining the audience in a cop avatar after 25 years. Titled as Darbar and helmed by AR Murugadoss, it also stars Nayanthara in the pivotal role. Releasing around Thai Pongal, in the month of January, along with an original version in Tamil, the movie will also release in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.
This year the superstar was bestowed with the Icon Of Golden Jubilee Award at International Film Festival of India for his contribution towards the cinematic world for decades now.
